We think you deserve to know what is coming.
Ptolemi started with a simple frustration: the most important facts about a home are public, yet almost impossible to find when you need them.
Buying or renting a home in Ireland is the biggest decision most of us ever make, and we make it half-blind. The planning history that shapes a street, the apartment block lodged round the corner, the developer who keeps coming back, all of it sits in public records. It just lives across 31 separate council portals, written for planners and not for people.
We named the company after Claudius Ptolemy, the geographer who drew the first real map of the known world from scattered, second-hand reports. That is the job: take messy public information and turn it into something you can actually read and trust.
So we built Ptolemi to do the reading for you. We gather every application, translate the jargon into plain English, and keep watching long after you have moved in. No estate agent gloss, no planner shorthand, just the honest version of what is happening next door.
Plain English, always
If a neighbour could not understand it over the garden wall, we have not finished writing it.
Public data, made public
This information was always yours. We just make it findable when it matters.
Built in Ireland
Made here, for Irish homes, Irish councils and the way planning actually works on this island.
